Tis the season to spend. And spend I did!

New camera. $$$$. New lens. $$$$. New speed-light. $$$. Full backstage access for this year's NY Fashion week. Priceless.

Thus justifies my recent bank-breaking shopping spree. But imagine my excitement when I opened the overnight rush delivery of my favourite Canon goodies! There were styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrap spilling out in every direction as I quickly buried my hands deep within the box, blindly searching for the coveted items within. Upon opening and assembling my new equipment...

First thought: Yaaayyyyyy!

Second thought: This is really heavy!

Third thought: I'm going to have to build up my arm muscles in anticipation of the non-stop shooting craze of fashion week.

Speaking of which, I just received confirmation of the show schedules for this September's Lincoln Center debut of New York Fashion Week, and with all the buzz about this world wide phenomenon relocating to a new venue, this is set to be the biggest Fashion Week to date! With my assigned shows already including Project Runway, Christian Siriano, Tommy Hilfiger, Betsey Johnson, Toni Francesc, and Gwen Stefani's LAMB, just to name a few, my new gear couldn't have come a day too soon, with all the preparations to be made for what is to come next week.
