2015: A Year in Review | NYC Wedding Photographer

If you ask me about what's in the works for 2016 you'll elicit a really big smile and a twinkle in my eye. Thinking about the couples that have invited me to document their love stories in the months to come is enough to quicken my pulse: the beauty of cultural & inter-religious traditions, urban rooftop gardens with sweeping New York City views, nods to literary passions, boat cruises along the Hudson River, extended lawn games set to firework displays, historic castles... and that's just for the weddings. More and more I'm excited to see the couples I work with tailoring their wedding day to details that tell a story of what makes their love truly unique.

But before going any further I'm compelled to pause and express my deep gratitude to the countless couples that did the same in 2015. I was repeatedly invited into their narratives with wedding day detours to the BBQ spot of a first date, bagpipes, furry friends, whirlwind city tours, a first-dance waltz set to a cinematic orchestral composition, torrential downpour perfectly timed for the first kiss, stealing away to a boutique ice cream parlor for portraits, an antique steam train, giant bonsai tree, confetti cake and piñatas, English morning suits mixed with Mexican maracas, and a Swami officiant... to name just a few. The creativity of my couples continues to amaze as they embrace the wedding day first and foremost as a celebration of the many memories that chronicle the tale of how they love.

With so many great experiences throughout the year, there was little spare time to truly do each wedding justice with a blog post of its own. But trust me... they're coming (and SO worth the wait). In the meantime, here's a glance at a very small handful of memorable moments from 2015: A Year in Review.
