She was born in Philadelphia and then raised in California before moving to Houston. His backstory is a little simpler: he's a 2nd generation Houston-ite (although it's up for debate on whether that's actually a "thing"). Their paths first crossed 2.5 years ago and, after a few months of friendship, they quickly graduated to official dating status. Jump ahead to September 5th of just this past year, on a warm autumn day in Central Park's Bethesda Terrace during a mini getaway to NYC (one of their favourite cities in the world) Evan asked Jenna a very memorable question.
With an October wedding on the calendar for Houston, Texas in 2016, they made a 24 hour whirlwind holiday stop-over in New York City for a very personalized engagement session capturing the place she said "Yes". Our first stop, mimosas accompanied by countless voice impersonations and spontaneous bursts into song at the festively adorned Sarabeth's - a nod to their shared love of cooking (moreso him), baking (moreso her), and great wine. Next up, a mini tour of select Central Park highlights: a rock with sweeping views of Wollman Skating Rink set against a backdrop of Midtown Manhattan, the Naumberg Bandshell and very significant Bethesda Terrace... tip-toeing through puddles and ducking under the iconic Kate Spade "Winking Eyes" umbrella in the winter rain along the way. To top it off, they came prepared with a countless collection of goodies to celebrate the unique details of their story - a "She Said Yes" holiday ornament customized with their engagement date, gold "&" and wedding date signs, My Little Pony Beanie Babies "Rainbow Dash" and "Twilight Sparkle" (inside joke!), and gold star glitter plus an "Instant Party" confetti pack gifted to them by Kate Spade in celebration of their engagement... a very special sparkle saved for this, a very special day.
