It just dawned on me that it's been nearly 1 month since my last blog post. 1 MONTH! Shame on me :)
It's been a wonderful, crazy, chaotic, fabulous, busy, productive, inspiring, marvelous month. But really, a whole month?
So, then a second thing dawned on me.
I felt so out of practice with blogging, I couldn't even come up with what to blog!
(A bit like my exercise routine... once I start doing it, I get excited and motivated and want to keep going. But if I skip a few days, I can't fathom the thought of surrendering an extra 45 minutes in bed in the morning to get out and go move my body).
But I wanted to do something fun. I love photo shoot & client posts as much as anyone. The pictures are gorgeous and the stories are heartwarming... but I wanted to do something a little different.
So, in the spirit of breaking convention I thought I'd dedicate a post entirely to iPhone photos.
Having bought my very first iPhone just 3 months ago (I'm admittedly a bit slow on the uptake - but what's new!), I'm still completely enamored with its ability to capture beautiful quality images... though from seasoned veterans of the iPhone, I get the impression the novelty never really wears off.
So here were are: iPhone images that even the purists can enjoy ("purist" = from taking the photo to editing and sharing... everything happens within the iphone). All images are shot & edited with Camera+, my personal favourite camera app (though I am sure there are other great ones out there). And no, I don't use Instagram (gasp!). From what I can tell, it doesn't offer enough creative control to meet my needs as of yet... but I can't speak to what I may or may not use in the future ;)
Note: These images are vastly different from my usual photographic style - which is often acclaimed as clean, timeless, and bright. My iPhone photos, on the other hand, are often saturated and "aged". I'm still working to perfect the art of iphone editing, but all in all my iPhone is where I get to play. And play I shall!
I'll readily admit I've shot hundreds of images in just 3 short months with my phone, so to say this is just a very small collection would be an understatement... just a sample to tickle your pallet. With more to possibly follow in the future.

and p.s. How fitting that I blog about iPhone photos almost one year (to the day!) after having the opportunity to hang with Chase Jarvis at his gallery event here in NYC celebrating the idea of "the best camera"... check out that post here.
