Vietnam: the second of three stops in the visual story of my recent trek through Southeast Asia. See my first stop - Cambodia's ancient temples of Angkor Wat.

Hoi An - Custom tailoring, culinary mecca (seriously, Morning Glory and White Rose Dumplings - look them up), full moon lantern festivals.

My Son - Abandoned Hindu temples constructed between the 4th and 14th centuries by kings of Champa. A majority of these temples were later destroyed by American carpet bombs during a single week of the Vietnam war.

Hoi An to Da Nang - Riding by Easy Rider motorbike through palm farms, fishing villages, Marble Mountain, and Hai Van Pass.

Ha Long Bay ("Descending Dragon Bay") - Limestone islands, floating pearl farms, kayaking, caves, and sleeping on the South China Sea.

Ninh Binh - Tam Coc, boating through Trang An, water caves, water buffalo, rice paddies, and weathering howling winds in a bamboo hut at Nguyen Shack Homestay.
