Julia & Scott first met while both working at NYU, but after a transfer to Columbia University, by the time Julia circled back to NYU Scott had since moved on to a new workplace. With busy schedules that rarely matched up they made the absolute most of their time together, cherishing those elusive shared days off. Fast forward to a sunny day mid-January 2016, it was the only day in months they both had free so Scott opted to make the most of the opportunity. Guiding Julia to their neighborhood's Central Park, he launched into a surprise proposal on the iconic Bow Bridge, appropriately deemed "one of New York's most romantic settings".
Documenting their love, we embarked on a journey that told the story of new beginnings - from the very spot Julia said "Yes" to the place they'll say "I do". Starting our time together at the scene of the proposal, we wandered through Central Park's Bethesda Terrace & Fountain before making our way to Literary Mall and Wagner Cove en route to The Lake, and, most significantly, Bow Bridge. From there we made a quick stop at their Upper West Side home before heading downtown to catch the last sun rays along the Hudson River at Battery Park. Passing fountains, sailors at sunset, and fishermen along the pier we landed at Battery Gardens, where they'll begin their next chapter together in June of 2017.
