She's from Long Island. He's from Toronto. And, as fate would have it, their worlds aligned in the workplace nearly 3 years ago. While their relationship would be filled with travel and adventure, it wasn't until a year and a half ago, when Josh returned to Canada for work, that their love proved it's capacity to truly transcend international borders. The following bi-monthly commutes between NYC and Toronto for cherished weekends together carried them through to one very significant date: 12.14.14 (one day, in hindsight, after the numerically "perfect" date of 12.13.14 - as they would say). The setting: a quiet winter day at Iceland's golden waterfalls with not a soul in sight. Lauren's answer to his big question: "Yes".
Beginning our time together at the very spot of their first date, we reminisced amidst bright mural walls, colorful string lights, and mojitos plus frozen margaritas at Park Slope's Bogota Latin Bistro. Next up: nearby Prospect Park. In an effort to capture the early onset of autumn foliage, we traversed rocks at Binnen Falls and wandered across the iconic Lullwater Bridge en route to slow dancing at Rustic Arbor set to the spontaneous serenade of Ed Sheeran's "Tenerife Sea". Watching their whispers and playful nuances as we captured the afternoon's final sun rays at The Boat House, it was undeniable that this duo is "so in love".
