For Emily & Keaton, their wedding day blended a modern, minimal elegance (largely inspired by J.Crew) with the Victorian garden & greenery charm of turn-of-the-century CV Rich Mansion. Details were on point, with an Italian silk knit tie for the groom and Converse Low Tops (an homage to Emily's dearly departed maiden namesake) for the bride to let loose in comfort during the dancing portion of the evening. What's more, add the bespoke touch of a full-time designer (the groom!) and you have the ultimate, highly polished spin on DIY elements. With their "Meet The Prices" wedding logo leading the way, personalization was everywhere from hand painted paper goods to their ceremony's custom built floral arch, photo album guestbook, and an engraved wooden box filled with made-to-order matchboxes uniquely tailored to their day.
But, of course, it was the moments of profound affection and pure joy, both between Emily & Keaton and surrounding them in their family & friends, that truly stole the show. Starting the day with a gift exchange between bride & groom, Emily opened a new strand of Tiffany pearls and smiled, "That's such a 'Keaton' gift" while Keaton read words of Emily's adoration for his musical talent accompanied by a new Fender. Love and happiness between the two was everywhere... in Keaton wiping away tears upon seeing Emily for the first time dressed as his bride, the throw-your-head-back kind of laughter throughout the ceremony, stolen kisses during the reception while cuddling up at the sweetheart table, and Emily tucking Keaton's napkin into his shirt before cutting the cake. Broadening the circle to family & friends, Emily and her sisters were chauffeured by their uncle in his classic Ford Model A while Keaton & his mother shared a tender embrace to finish off their mother-son dance, the wedding party formed an impromptu tunnel for the newlyweds to run through for their grand entrance as new Mr & Mrs, and Emily + Keaton sidled up in a full embrace with a few of their nearest & dearest, singing and leg-kicking atop the stage to close out the day.
