Rosalyn & John's wedding day was nothing short of a modern, elegant heritage-honoring celebration infused with a truly incredible amount of fun. Bringing together their Filipino and Italian families, with guests traveling in from across the globe, they paid tribute to tradition with a Catholic ceremony - officiated by the bride's uncle and filled with beautiful wedding customs hailing from the Philippines (a coin blessing and laying of the veil + infinity garland) - hosted in the heart of NYC's bustling streets of Chelsea.
Perfectly blending class & grace with a relaxed vibe for all to enjoy, their day was a whirlwind tour of New York City. Guests browsed "The Wedding Times" program complete with a headline story about the couple and, of course, a customized crossword. Up next, a quick stroll along a graffitied avenue past The High Line en route to Chelsea Pier 61 for a private cruise along the Hudson River with sweeping views of lower Manhattan, Hoboken (where Rosalyn & John currently call home), and the iconic Statue of Liberty... the very backdrop to their proposal just over 1 year earlier.
But above all it was the spontaneous moments that filled the story of their day with so much heart: Rosalyn's mother & sister quietly bustling her dress at the church, the bride's niece eagerly crawling to the front of the ceremony, and an intimate exchange while Rosalyn held her new sister-in-law's face in her hand. John & his best man took a moment to grab a quick coffee before the rain clouds parted in time for a breathtaking first look set to views of the Empire State Building, while later the newlyweds traversed the West Side Highway in their wedding day getup. And to top it off, reception toasts rounded out the day with an epic maid of honor karaoke performance (backed-up by the evening's incredibly talented live band) and a surprise champagne bottle sabering by the best man.
